What is C-Negative?

C-Negative is a site aimed toward the unsigned, unheard of artists. When I originally created the site, I had dreams of musicians from all over gathering together in one place (this site), and sharing their work and collaborating on projects. That didn't really work out.

The name C-Negative comes from my blood type, a rare type of blood that only cyborgs have. Cyborg blood isn't like Human blood. But it does have a specific Rh factor, and that Rh factor is negative, sir.

News

I am working on my new album and I'm planning on releasing old material that I recorded when I was younger before I had a studio. Just stuff I recorded with a guitar and a mic. Really crappy recording quality stuff. Don't wet yourself with excitement, now.

As no one is aware, this site is dedicated to musicians. Specifically musicians who produce their own work. The unsigned, unheard of musicians.

I was hoping I could get musicians to join my site (it was free) and share their work (they got to keep ownership of their work). I wanted the site to be a forum for musicians; a place where musicians could congregate, share their work, and collaborate on projects. I hate advertising, so of course, no one joined, and nothing got done other than me posting my music.

So for now I'm just going to use this site as a place to post my music. If people decide they'd like a spot on the site to showcase their work, then that's great. I'll totally post their work for all the world to hear. But until that day, I'll just keep the site to myself.

New Design

I'm in the process of redesigning my site, and before you ask, the answer is no. This is not the design I have in mind. After Bob gets done designing my other site, AngryHuman, I'm going to try to redesign this site. Well, I'm going to try to create pictures. I can do the design part. I just can't draw. I'm hoping I can learn something. I probably won't.

My plan is to try to tie this site in with AngryHuman. I used to put all my music on the main site, but decided my music needed a separate site. I'll tie this site into AngryHuman somehow. Where there's a will, there's a way.

Or maybe I can turn this into my money-maker. Yeah, that sounds good. This is where I can sell my services. I know what I'll sell! I'll sell custom songs to people! People can pay me money and tell me what to write a song about! They can give me their lyrics, and tell me what they want the song to sound like (for example, country, or metal, or pop, or whatever). It'll be awesome! Are there many people who do this sort of thing?

I think I'll charge $10 per song. Yep, that sounds about right. It's not that expensive, and you can tell your girlfriend that you wrote it for her and paid to have it professionally recorded. I'll have money, and you'll get laid. Sounds like a fair trade to me.
